On December 11-12 in Brussels, FURIC 2024 brought together 32 inspiring speakers and over 120 participants to tackle the critical theme ‘From Ballots to Security: Advancing Resilience Through Electoral Reforms.’ With hybrid threats growing and technology reshaping the electoral landscape, the discussions emphasized practical strategies to safeguard democracy worldwide.

We discussed these pressing issues with Dr. Stanislav Secrieru (National Security Advisor to President Maia Sandu), Commissioner Benjamin Hovland (Chairman of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission), Petras Auštrevičius and Vlad Vasile-Voiculescu (Members of the European Parliament), and Nino Dolidze (Executive Director of ISFED, Georgia), among other 27 outstanding speakers. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, National Leader of Belarus, set the tone with her powerful keynote, urging the global community to support democratic resilience in the face of evolving threats.
