Election Monitoring and Democracy Studies Center (EMDS)

EMDS is an independent and impartial non-governmental organization working towards the holding of free and fair elections and the development of civil society and democracy in Azerbaijan.

EMDS aims to also increase citizen participation in public administration, promote political pluralism and democratic values, and enhance the accountability of government bodies. It was founded in December 2008 by the founders and members of the Election Monitoring Center (EMC) whose state registration was denounced.
