EPDE member Swedish International Liberal Center (Silc) co-founded VOS – föreningen valobservation i Sverige – on 24 of March 2022, in cooperation with a group of election observers that have previously conducted election observation within the framework of the four party affiliated foundations Silc, the Palme Center, Green Forum, and CIS.

VOS is the only Swedish NGO working with domestic election observation.

The association’s purpose is to observe elections, especially in Sweden, but also to assist domestic election observation in other countries. The association can also conduct other activities that aim to increase understanding, commitment, and respect for democratic decision-making processes.

For the 2023 financial year, the Association of Election Observation in Sweden consists of President Amanda Valentin, Vice Chairman Cecilia Ekman, Secretary Inga Näslund, Treasurer Martin Ängeby and members Isabel Sommerfeld and Volkan Serengil, Louise Valentin is Deputy Board member
