Overview of the Electoral Campaign in Moldova: Civic Observation and Media Reporting

We kindly invite you to the second pre-election briefing, hosted by the EPDE in partnership with Promo-LEX Association on political and legal framework guiding presidential elections and constitutional referendum on EU integration in Moldova.

The second in a series of EPDE webinars in anticipation of Moldova’s election will offer a comprehensive look at the electoral campaign, focusing on key topics such as election observation efforts, media coverage of the campaigns, instances of disinformation, and foreign interference. Mariana Focșa, an electoral analyst at Promo-LEX, will share insights from their report on the campaign period and pre- election monitoring. Aneta Gonța, Vice-President of the Audiovisual Council of Moldova, will discuss the impact of disinformation on the electoral process. Additionally, Victoria Dodon an Editor-in-Chief of the Independent Journalism Center will provide an overview of media monitoring, highlighting how disinformation has shaped the campaign.
