The European Platform for Democratic Elections (EPDE), in cooperation with Transparency International Anticorruption Center, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor, and the Promo-LEX Association, hosted the webinar “Who Controls the Narrative? Information Integrity and Electoral Resilience Lessons from Moldova for Armenia 2026″.

The session built on Moldova’s experience from 2024–2025 elections and explored information space challenges Armenia is facing ahead of its parliamentary elections scheduled 7 June 2026. We looked at how disinformation spreads during election campaigns and how it can be countered, how institutions communicate when under pressure, and how election management bodies, civil society, journalists, and media can work together effectively in the final weeks before polling day.

Key questions included:

  • How did disinformation campaigns target Moldova’s 2024–2025 elections, and what tactics should Armenia anticipate in the lead-up to June 2026?
  • What communication strategies prove effective for election management bodies and institutions when operating under information pressure, and how are they deployed in Armenia?
  • How can election management bodies, civil society, fact-checkers, and journalists build an effective coordination framework in the final weeks before e-day?
