A senior expert from the Association for Participatory Democracy ADEPT introduces an overview of the political landscape in the context of the elections and the referendum, and the Head of the Promo-LEX election monitoring organization presents findings from their election observation mission of the pre-election period, including the candidate registration process.

Promo–LEX Association is a non–governmental organization that aims to advance democracy in the Republic of Moldova, including in the Transnistrian region, by promoting and defending human rights, monitoring the democratic processes, and strengthening civil society. Key areas of activity and expertise are implemented via two programs: Monitoring Human Rights and Democratic Processes. The latter program aims to improve the quality of and to increase citizen’s trust in democratic processes in Moldova. Under this Program, Promo-LEX observes and monitors electoral processes, sectoral reforms and decision-making processes in the Association’s priority areas.
